Seniors are getting started on their capstone projects while the Juniors set up tanks for their 24 hour experiments.

Catch of The Day!​
Students go outside to count and transfer all of the shrimp to a healthier and cleaner tank. While the juniors start their data collection, the rest are seperating and cleaning the ogo as well as throwing away the invasive ones.

24 Hour Experiment
Students collect data every 2 hours for a 24 time period. The purpose of this experiment is to determine if the time of day affects water quality. In between data collection, students do many fun activities such as playing basketball.

The Marine Science Learning Center will be at Makeke Waianae's Farmers Market this Saturday. (Janurary 30th, 2016) We will be selling ogo by the pound and our famous Pickled ogo! More info in our calender on our home page. Feel free to contact us.






Getting ready for market
Company B is out in the facility today, taking ammonia and nitrate for thei company mullet and shrimp tanks. Others go out to collect bins of invasive ogo so it wouldnt disrupt future ogo.
